An all-white space beneath a multi-coloured mirror lantern for optometry practice Optique’s second incarnation is, in essence, a brilliant ‘jewellery box’ at the foot of a dark building. Exploiting the space’s lofty ceiling heights, the lantern uses four different colours of mirror, in addition to coloured glass, to create a complex array of reflected colours and lights. Conceptually this links to the functions of eyewear – to tint, alter or enhance the image.
