The Wayside Chapel

Donated funds and services gave rise to this new purpose-built facility for social services institution, The Wayside Chapel (TWC). Wearing its heart on its sleeve, the building is honest, simple, durable and hard-working. Exceptional efficiencies were achieved to attain a build cost of $3,178 per square metre. Its three-part configuration comprises a ‘spiritual centre’ of open and porous public spaces with smaller and specific private spaces on both sides and above.
