Recognition of the needs of users – whether value towards an object/product is formed by a physical or emotional attachment – helps to foster longevity in the furniture created by Matt Prince Design. Consideration of the ways people engage with the built environment is the foundation of the Launceston-based studio’s work, which ranges from designs for series production to bespoke commissions. Foremost, furniture is upheld as a component that completes an environment rather than being a stand-alone piece.
