Situated on two floors, this sizeable restaurant is designed to arouse the timeless appeal of 1930s Shanghai within the dramatic backdrop of a former Sydney bond warehouse. Considered detailing in blackened steel contributes to the space’s authenticity and includes: panels clad to sections of heritage brick walls; a Chinese duck oven; shelving and a ladder in a three-storey wine cellar. Rustic floorboards with inlay cement tiles and custom designed antique brass shelving reinforce the effect.
