Doubling as a rural retreat for a family and an exclusive B&B, this immense homestead in the Yarra Valley was recast to conceive a new model of decoration: ‘contemporary rural’. Without feeling urban, the interior feels relevant and current. Equal attention is afforded to both big and small design moves, which are understood as critical aspects of a cohesive scheme. Imparting human scale and intimacy is the fine grain of decoration.
