A fine dining institution has been reinvented on a tight budget and in a tight space to create two different dining experiences. The strategy was to combine materials and colours with minimal insertions, such as the bar and waiters’ stations. The downstairs concept is about flux – deploying furniture at varying heights to open up different dining choices and provide a sense of movement. The upstairs is comfortable, luxe, and lush, yet employs the same approach to colour and material application.
