Bronte House

Multiple constraints – narrow access, a height covenant, orientation, limited privacy and views that improved with height – drove the initial sketches through to concept resolution. A long, two-storey element along the southern boundary houses services and amenities deep within the site, allowing all living spaces to reap a northerly aspect. A single-storey element that sits perpendicular contains additional living requirements, while a knuckle between the two is an intimate entry point.
