Delivering a bare-foot-and-pearls river dining experience, the centrally located Stokehouse Restaurant succeeds in articulating a vision for something uniquely Brisbane. With an architectural intent to embody a reinterpretation of its existing site, the design encapsulates the idea of the urban river’s edge. Classically Queensland in its use of timber, the outstanding feature materialises as a sculptural timber spline wall, erected over the bar and extending through the space with an air of graceful movement.
