Monash University Student Housing

Comprising two five-storey buildings each containing 300 student studios and flanking a central courtyard, this Clayton-based student housing project aims to create a community while also supporting the individual. The studios include floor-to-ceiling windows and a simple palette of timber, concrete and black steel. The timber facade is angled within the concrete frame to provide both shading and a dynamic pattern of light to modulate facades.
