Balmain House

Defining the interior approach to this residence was the owner’s significant Australian art collection. A mix of new and vintage design pieces are counterpointed by a large collection of books, sculptures and paintings to create a mood evoked by the art and echoed in the furnishing details. Built-in joinery and an earthy material palette, including solid timber and stone, works with the architecture while providing a canvas for the decorative scheme.
