Myer Bourke Street redevelopment

Myer’s city store has long held a position as a civic elder to the public life of Melbourne. However, the store could no longer compete as an internationally recognised department store. This city landmark has been rejuvenated, with a sculptural faceted gold roof offering glimpses of the city from within, and new upper level event space accessed via a dramatic eight-level atrium. A large diamond skylight above the atrium brings daylight into the store, with escalators providing a kinetic connection between levels.
