Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre

The design of this community facility in inspired by the geographic and cultural context of Riverwood. A series of ‘finger’ volumes represent motion and dynamism, complemented by interior elements including suspended foyer walls, folded ceilings and corridor walls and angular interior roof trusses. Colour heightens the user’s experience of the interior. Box shaped windows provide a visual connection between exterior and interior, giving high visibility to interior spaces by day and at night.
