The Attic

The Attic Lounge Bar has been interpreted as an attic because of the venue’s location. Climbing three flights of stairs, the visitor enters an enclosed space with low ceilings, mechanical bulkheads and little natural light. The design re-uses discarded domestic items to create a space that invokes memories of home. The architects spent weeks rescuing forgotten objects and incorporating them into the design, rediscovering the value of items that are no longer new, have fallen out of fashion, or have been partly broken.
