Phamish responds directly to its urban context, capturing the eclecticism and dynamism of the popular St Kilda precinct by focusing on only a few of its particularities and through the clever arrangement of materials and textures. A contemporary and inviting space has been created, despite a very narrow aperture to the street, by directing the planning towards the front entry of the restaurant using a mix of high and low level seating around the bar area, natural light and fixed outdoor benches to engage passers-by.
