Norfolk St

The project was the renovation of an existing post-war cottage located in an inner city neighbourhood. The final solution has retained the existing residence and seamlessly linked it with a two-storey sleeping pavilion through the creation of a simplistic tower that acts as the central ‘living’ core while also acting as a natural cooling tower for the upper storey. By introducing changes in levels, internal screens and material change, zones are created that challenge the users’ perception of the spaces as public or private.
