A holistic approach was taken to the farm and its out buildings, celebrating both old and new, beginning with a meticulous restoration of the 1850s homestead. Freestanding structures, such as a barn, out-house and woolshed, are connected by the outdoors and the elements. A variety of different internal and external environments were created to form ‘spaces’ within the vast amount of space. The final layout twists and turns throughout the site. The principal home soars at one end of the structural elements and is buried at the other.
