Tree House

The beach house contains individual zones for the inhabitants and large indoor and outdoor entertaining areas. The requisite inclusion of a space for yoga ultimately influenced the design. This is observable where the external and internal walls of the curved path between the main living and main bedroom stretch themselves in three dimensions around the trees. The trees are a dominant constant, with a degree of variation by way of changing light, both from inside the house and from the street. The light they cast both on and within the house creates a balanced relationship between the built form and nature.
