Terra Firma tables

Terra Firma tables evoke memories of the archetypal refectory table but borrow structural techniques utilised in modern truss bridges, where the tapered form creates a natural trapezium to the floor. The intention was to design a table that was versatile, rigid, lightweight and practical, where the strict engineering is disguised within a refined and sculpted aesthetic. Terra Firma is manufactured using a combination of plantation-grown solid timber and veneered board. The design uses specialist fixings that allow for flat packing in efficient transportation and easy assembly with a simple hand tool.
