In addition to meeting the brief provided by American Express, Geyer’s objective was to provide facilities for optimum service to clients. An ambience of premium service is conveyed through dark tones, lighting and furniture. Large client areas include security envelopes on each floor around the lifts, which feature meeting, lounge and amenity spaces, and allow visitors to feel included without compromising on security. Large breakout areas draw inspiration from American Express’s overseas offices, namely Singapore, India and Japan. Contemporary finishes and an extensive graphic and way finding program based on credit card typography and archive images were applied.
