What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The new premises of Friend, a direct marketing agency, represents the company’s identity as well as the heritage features of the 1912 former bank in a boutique warehouse style building. The combination of old and new is emphasised; modern colours and textures such as the polycarbonate Kartell tables were added to original features, including the antique wall safes and timber window frames. Minimum walls maintain the light and sense of connection within the space, and double as functional features, such as the blackboard/newspaper rack wall.
