The (inside) Design Excellence Awards (IDEA Awards) are an Australian multi-category award series, aimed at promoting and rewarding recent works in interior architecture, product design and concept design by Australian practices.

Submissions to the Awards are accepted in four rounds, staggered throughout the year, with all shortlisted projects from each of the rounds published in the pages of (inside) magazine, and the over-all winners announced at the end of the competition at the IDEA Awards party.

The awards are open to all designers who are residents of Australia and (inside) will only accept work completed within Australia. Submissions for the 2008 Awards are currently open to any project that meets the criteria of at least one of the award categories, and that has been completed between January 2007 and June 2008.
