Drawing its inspiration from concrete buildings, the form and structure of Baird house was to employ concrete as the ‘hero’ material, while ensuring that the materiality, colour and scale of the building were akin to a modern family home filled with cosy nooks, but with the ability for a full-scale pool party with pumping DJ in the backyard!
