At the core of Bunurong Memorial Park is a commitment to the capacity of architecture and place-making to evoke and suggest potent experiences. This tenet is aptly demonstrated by the Sanctuary building. Circular in plan with rusted steel cladding and sculptural roof form, it sits quietly at the lake’s edge looking over the water.
