Lexus Pavilion

Taking subtle cues from Lexus’s origins, Hecker Guthrie developed a loosely Japanese aesthetic. Incorporating big ideas of ‘pattern’, ‘the timber frame’ and ‘looking within’, the pavilion revisited Japanese motifs via the 200 lanterns, the Andrei Davidoff custom ceramics and timber framing, but within a contemporary guise that was both sophisticated and playful.
