Prima Ballerina & Petit Ballerina

Merging innovation with tradition, these new lighting products are a theatrical reworking of the iconic ‘ballerina’ lampshade. The designer worked closely with Rakumba, one of Australia’s oldest lampshade manufacturers, to pair their traditional knowledge and techniques in shade making with an innovative LED lighting assembly. With the aim of re-contextualising traditional skills for a contemporary design market, every aspect of the design and make has been resolved with extraordinary attention to detail.
