Museum of Contemporary Art

One central idea defines the Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MCA) redevelopment, which retains its focus on the art. Manipulated as generator of all spaces – circulation and facade configuration – is a featureless white box. It’s the box that is at the core of MCA’s operations.

 The building can be read internally and externally as an array of such articulated boxes, where the circulation and views in and out are the spaces between these boxes.
