Introducing a modern, inner-city bar and dining experience to an area better known for traditional Asian cheap eats led to an adventurous design approach. Working with the primary structure of the existing building was a focus, as was exposing interior elements of the building’s industrial heritage. In new work, illuminated trusses combine with render that’s peeled back on an existing brick wall at a 45-degree angle – creating a series of silhouetted peaks.
