Ceramic work pendant

A continuation of the designer’s work adapting classic design objects, this pendant uses a small and simple change to reimagine the humble and utilitarian cage lamp. A bone china shade is added over the soft rubber handle, softening and directing the light for domestic or commercial use. The rim of the porcelain is ‘dipped’ in a clear glaze, and the cage lamp can be adjusted up on its intended hook to increase the availability of light.
