The Old Library

Hecker Guthrie

Located in Sydney’s Cronulla, The Old Library was originally a Methodist church built c1908 and converted into a library in the 1970s, before its current restaurant re-fit. A sense of intimacy was achieved in the voluminous interior by creating a series of spaces within spaces that generate an inviting domestic scale. The fresh appeal of the crisp fit-out lies in the elegant styling, natural material palette and subtle design motifs, that the designers have utilised with understated flair.
