Deakin University Waurn Ponds Central Campus Precinct

Incorporating various hospitality outlets and breakout spaces, the design of the Deakin University Waurn Ponds Central Campus Precinct de-institutionalises the space and creates a social hub for staff and students. Sustainable, raw and natural materials such as concrete, brick, rubber flooring and timber provide a texture of warmth and familiarity. The facilities were specifically designed to make use of the surrounding landscape, with new access routes created through the landscape and buildings to allow equal access for all.
