Tree Restaurant

The comfort and tranquility of a tree canopy transform this fitout into a place of nature. Dappled light filters through timber profiles, which form the branches of the tree. The concept recreates the Japanese Cherry Blossom festival, Hanami, and the social ritual of dining under the tree during the festival. Branches radiate from a central trunk, which conceals the building’s concrete support column. A traditional Japanese motif forms the textured rendering that compliments the tactility of the timber branches.
