A giant shell measuring 18 x 5 metres was created for the Myer Spring/Summer Collection Launch 2010/2011. Created using 2000 precisely cut pieces of pine intricately worked together, the sculptural piece was dramatically silhouetted with striking light effects. Though grand in stature, the piece is simplistic in its delivery, inspired by the rational beauty of the shell. The geometry of the triton shell was digitised and sliced into buildable components to create this theatrical setting.
