Round Diamond Rug

Round Diamond Rug draws inspiration from a pre-existing form, and represents a hard object as a soft, tactile surface. The fractured light on the surface of a round diamond has been distorted. The lines of a circular diamond are symmetrical, yet when the light hits the surface, it appears unique from all angles. The resulting design, an Evolve Awards finalist, has been created into a rug made from 100 percent New Zealand wool and can be created in different sizes and colours.
