Maribyrnong Sports Academy

This specialist sport school is the first facility of its kind in Victoria, and is used by the school and community. The concept for the building is based on the idea of pre-visualisation, of elite sports players being ‘in the zone’. The design provides early spatial hints and snapshots of the moments an elite sports player experiences: the underbelly of a stadium, entering a sporting arena, the running track, the corporate
box, the hall of heroes.
