Ludlow Formation

This bar and restaurant investigates the role of context within hospitality venues. A robust fitout, it is a reaction against the sheen of the nearby casino and associated franchises, inspired instead by nearby vaults – Victorian engineering and architectural solutions to the river’s edge. All structure is clearly expressed, with exposed services and a raw material palette. New works and structure form a detached assemblage within the confines of the existing concrete cave.
