UQ Gatton Campus Lecture Theatre Refurbishment, Room 132

The refurbishment of UQ Gatton Lecture Theatre 132, an existing intimate 1970s brick and concrete auditorium, extends the natural lighting and enhances connections to the exterior rural campus (modifiable by motorised blinds). The lighting and other equipment is fixed to motorised hinged beams that can be lowered for efficient service but are concealed neatly into the line of the acoustic ceiling when not in operation. The entire presentation wall is clad in whiteboard surface. The fabrics are vintage Eames, a nod to the building’s original modernist lines.
