The idiosyncrasies of the curious shed-like structure were embraced in its conversion into a highly functional creative studio of diverse purposes, including video editing, sound recording and graphic design. The mood of a chilled-out living room is created with long shelves holding random collectables, such as retro TVs, and an enormous tape library of ‘techy’ yet compelling texture. Workstations sit to one side of the buzzing central space and a breakout area to the other. The material palette is simple: hoop pine ply, black-stained concrete and black bamboo.
