Smith and Nephew

The new premises of Smith and Nephew (S+N), a leading developer of medical devices, include a bigger warehouse, flexible general office functions, training facilities and an adjoining gathering space/café, and a high-tech dry lab workshop.

 The workshop provides real time video links to doctor’s surgeries for direct instruction of surgeons during procedures, facilitating global training without necessitating travel.

 The design is simultaneously warm and ‘clean’, creating a new direction for healthcare design. S+N’s own archived x-rays were used as graphics signifying the company’s transparency of operations.
