Queensland Performing Arts Centre Refurbishment

The QPAC refurbishment represents the first stage of a comprehensive masterplan aimed at enabling QPAC to interact more dramatically with its surrounding public realm. Stage 1 encompassed the complete interior refurbishment of the Concert Hall and Lyric Theatre (dramatically improving acoustics and work conditions), and subtly modulated the foyer and circulation spaces to a more human and inviting scale. This also relieved congestion and facilitated disability access. The refurbishment is transformational but also utilises existing fabric elements.
