About IDEA

The Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) showcase the best of Australian design. The prestigious awards program receives hundreds of submissions from across Australia each year and is recognised by the design community as the country’s pre-eminent design awards program.

IDEA promotes and rewards recent work in interior design and product design across 14 different categories, as well as recognising emerging young talent and designers whose work demonstrates exemplary sustainable objectives.

The full shortlist for (inside) magazine’s Interior Design Excellence Awards 2011 was announced in August. Many thanks to all of the architects and designers who submitted their projects to IDEA 2011, and our congratulations to all of the successful entries to this year’s program. This year was our biggest yet, with over 400 submissions across all 14 categories.

You can view the full shortlist, organised by category, here. The complete shortlist was published in the September issue of (inside) and winners will be announced at the IDEA Gala Party on 25 November.

Entries to IDEA 2011 are now closed, but if you have a great project you’d like to share with us, we encourage you to post the project on Designwall via www.australiandesignreview.com
