Involving concepts of transparency and illusion, the store sits in-between interior and exterior and plays on the perspective of the ‘arcade’. A random and organic set of OSB paneled arches, inspired by Thomas Heatherwick’s sculptural works, forms a multi-purpose, cave-like enclosure within the confines of the rectilinear shell. Mirrored cladding and black gloss walls achieve a seemingly infinite depth. Rudimentary and slick materials are blended in an honesty that combines with the strong architectural form to represent the brand, without overpowering its products.
