EPA Victoria

Woods Bagot

The EPA Victoria office expresses the organisation’s alliance with primary industry by embracing the crude building shell. New zones in the interior are interpreted as ‘shade pavilions’, the location and orientation of which are determined by the natural flow of light through the space. Materials, colours and graphics represent the four core areas of environmental monitoring carried out by EPA: air, land, noise and water. Materials used include reclaimed timber from old chicken coops, custom furniture turned from fallen gum trees and signage cut from car tyres.
