DesignByThem was formed three years ago by Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis, with the aim of creating an Australian design brand and a collaborative environment for young designers from different disciplines. The company is this year working towards creating opportunities for young talented designers who can benefit financially from design, without having to chase royalties from overseas. Striking a balance between self-directed work and commissions, DesignByThem furniture, lighting and accessories all place a strong emphasis on sustainability and eco-design.
