Boire

The interior of Boire (meaning ‘to drink’, in French) is as much a representation of its owner, French winemaker and historian Catherine Chauchat, as her refined service offer. Boire achieves a uniquely French-inspired yet non-parochial atmosphere. The design focuses on establishing the physical and ephemeral elements that formulate what is fondly termed ‘a local’. A series of carefully conceived interactions and social frameworks allow for the inscription of the space by the owner and the customer. Blackboards are located throughout the space for patrons to compose their thoughts.
