Albert Road Apartment

Located at the end of an arc-shaped floor plate, the apartment is a sanctuary in the sky, affording near-surrounding views of Melbourne. The new open planning reinforces the base building’s radial structural grid. Even the joinery placement and timber floor layout rotates with the structural grid. Hand-scraped limed oak, travertine and off-white walls are enriched and contrasted by luxurious materials and finishes including leather and lacquer. Custom-designed furniture and bathroom joinery constructed from oak flooring reinforce the simple combination of sculptural form and light to create refined tranquility.
