Adelaide Zoo Entrance Precinct

The rising curve of the new Entrance Precinct building rests on the historic heart of the Adelaide Zoo, connecting the old and new entry gates. The ground floor comprises ticketing, administration, café and retail functions, with conference and kitchen functions located on level one, behind a vast northern timber screen and terrace that provide a unique sightline over the Zoo. The parkland-style forecourts also provide access to an exhibition space and public theatrette. The new precinct incorporates large ‘living’ walls and a green roof that support habitat and biodiversity.
