What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
It can be said that the design of all products is inherently derived and influenced by the objects surrounding us. The Rai Tree is a product analogy of this belief, as it draws from an inspirational source of life and well being, in which a variety of people can directly relate to. Inspired by natural objects and the practices many of us perform on these artifacts, the Rai Tree strives to create an emotional bond and reaction between the product and its users. The Rai Tree is designed to be wall mounted with ripening fruit placed between its branches, enticing any passerby to pick fruit from the tree.
