What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
This renovation challenges the conventional definition of interior, as well as the formulation of a residence. The ‘big (IDEA)’ was to completely reverse the general layout, putting the new kitchen in the front facing the street, capitalising on views of the open street corner and its movement. Framless glass encloses the kitchen and meal area, preserving the period feature. Translucent blinds allow the residents to see out but no one to see in.
