STRUCTURE & JUDGING

In August 2008 all entries will be presented to the category judges.

The aim is to reach a majority decision on each award winning entry. Additional commendations will be awarded at the judges’ discretion.

The Judging panel for each category will consist of:

• A staff representative from a major design school (course director/senior lecturer).
• Two professional designers specialising in the category field (non-entrant only).
• The Editor (inside).

(IDEA) will be hosted at a select venue in November 2008 (to be confirmed). After judging has been resolved, the awards will be individually presented on a category-by-category basis at the annual (IDEA) event.

To become a finalist, entries must be short-listed and published in the (inside) IDEA Awards section of (inside) magazine during the life of the program each year. Short-listed entries, drawn from the (inside) IDEA Award categories will be featured in a dedicated IDEA Awards section each issue, from January through to July 2008.

All entries published as short-listed entries become finalists in the awards program. All winning projects will be published in the (inside) IDEA Awards Special issue in November 2008, which will be released at the awards event.

The (inside) IDEA Awards presentation evening will take place in November 2007 and will be a cocktail event with the associated awards presentation ceremony and entertainment.

Timeline

Short-listed entries will be published in each of five issues throughout 2008.

Entries close end July 2008.

Judging will take place during mid-October 2008.

The awards ceremony will be held in November 2008. Winners will be published in the November 2008 issue (released at the awards ceremony).
