STRUCTURE & JUDGING
In October 2009 all entries will be presented to the category judges.
The aim is to reach a majority decision on each award winning entry. Additional commendations will be awarded at the judges’ discretion.
The Judging panel for each category will include of:
- A staff representative from a major design school (course director/senior lecturer).
- Two professional designers specialising in the category field (non-entrant only).
- The Associate Publisher of (inside)
- The Editor of (inside)
The (inside) IDEA Awards presentation evening will take place in November 2009 at The ivy in Sydney. The awards will be individually presented on a category-by-category basis at the event .
To become a finalist, entries must be short-listed and published in the (inside) IDEA Awards section of (inside) magazine during the life of the program each year. Short-listed entries, drawn from the (inside) IDEA Award categories will be featured in a dedicated IDEA Awards section each issue, from January through to September 2008.
All entries published as short-listed entries become finalists in the awards program. All winning projects will be published in the (inside) IDEA Awards Special issue in November 2009, which will be released at the awards event.
Considered entries will be projects and products completed between January 2008 and June 2009, within Australia.
Timeline
Short-listed entries will be published in each of the first four issues throughout 2009.
Entries close end August 2009.
Judging will take place during early October 2009.
The awards ceremony will be held in November 2009. Winners will be published in the November 2009 issue (released at the awards ceremony).
