What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
Suters Architects national growth warranted a refit of its 3.5 levels. The big idea behind the project was ‘restraint’ – an idea that encompasses respect for the original 1888 building but also for the specific needs of the uses, rather than succumbing to the temptation to make a conspicuous design statement.
Freestanding workstation modules with minimal wall contact are placed within a modern, clean design, and design studio spaces on all levels promote collaboration. Storage for bicycles and surfboards is provided.
